Massage during the Jane Austen festival, Bath

Amy booked Massage for Two for herself and her mum Sakina whilst visiting Bath for the Jane Austen festival.

Nigel was Amy’s therapist. “Amy said they were attending the festival from north east England and also mentioned that her arms were aching from using a sewing machine.” It wasn’t until later that he made the connection. “Costume is a big part of the festival. It’s a time of year when Bath is transported back to the Regency period. You see groups of people in period dress wandering the city.”

It turns out Amy has a wider interest in clothing. She has her own sustainable fashion brand – The Artwear Emporium.

Sakina’s massage was with Sarah. She was enjoying the festival but realised they were doing a lot of walking. “We treat each person individually”, said Sarah, “It’s one of the things I like about working with Natural Touch.”

Amy was also featured in a BBC news report on the event.

The festival runs over 10 days in September and hosts dozens of events including tours, films, meals, talks, hair styling, dancing lessons, balls and a grand parade through the Georgian streets. Many of the festival’s hundreds of participants dress in period costume.
